Georgetown Morgue
Have we got you in the mood for Halloween yet? Consider one of Seattle’s, and the country’s, scariest haunted houses. The Georgetown Morgue takes place in the Georgetown neighborhood, running from late September through early November. If you dare, head to this site located where one of Seattle’s most disturbing unsolved crimes took place. Purchased by Charles and Henry Broughton in 1939, an earthquake killed Charles just a few years later. In 1968, a gruesome event then stole the life of Henry and several of his employees. They were allegedly forced into a crematory and burned alive. Today, the site serves as a rather terrifying haunted house. While kids are allowed with a parent, it’s so frightening it’s best left for the grown-ups.
The Classic Corn Maze
Can you make your way through some of the spookiest corn mazes in the Seattle area? Corn mazes are some of the most popular attractions for an eerie Halloween experience. And, there’s quite a few in and around Seattle. Some of the best can be found in Snohomish, a relatively short drive away, such as Craven Farm’s Interactive Adventure Maze. Be wary of the obstacles and the rather frightening characters from well-known stories. Or head to Bob’s Corn and Pumpkin Farm. If you dare, attempt the Night Maze, forged from 12 miles of dense corn. Finally, Stocker Farms is also well worth a visit with a five-acre corn maze featuring a Kraken-inspired design, turning into creepy “Stalker” Farms after dark.

The 9 p.m. showings are 21+ but the 5 p.m. shows on Sundays are all ages.
Nightmare on 9
The Nightmare on 9™ Haunted House is an indoor haunted attraction that virtually guarantees screams. Test your fears on a haunted trail that takes you back in time to an evil ghost town. See if you can make it through the long list of horrors on a quarter-mile-long walk at the Thomas Family Farm. Zombie Paintball is part of the experience that ensures a wild ride – including the chance to dodge and shoot zombies along the way. This is one you won’t ever forget, but beware, as it’s a nightmare come to life.
The Seattle Ahhhquarium
Finally, the Seattle Aquarium is typically a family-friendly attraction. But things will change after dark on October 24 and it’s not for the little ones. There’s a special after-hours 21+ event that will take over Piers 59 and 60. Adults can enjoy a night of fun and frights, creeping around the habitats to bone-chilling music, complete with “terrifyingly tasty” food and beverages. Want to get dressed up?
